    Our dedicated and knowledgable crew has has created the best private and luxury Whale Shark encounter in Mexico! We provide all you need for an unforgettable swimming experience with these gentle giants. Don't let the name frighten you! As the largest shark in the sea, these gentle giants are peaceful creatures who feed on plankton. Jump in and swim with them during whale shark season from June to mid September. Whale sharks are gentle creatures that live in depths to 250m/800ft below sea level most of the year. In the summer months, they come to our waters to feed on the plankton, microscopic plant matter. The plankton is in large concentrations off our shores to take in the sun on the surface of the ocean which has the whale sharks coming back year after year to feed. Sightings start to happen in early June and you will have the opportunity to meet this amazing creatures. The trip starts at our dive shop in the morning were after an introduction we departure for approximately an hour ride to the location we expect the whale sharks to be at. Once we get there, two people at the time with one guide are allowed to jump in the water for an up-encounter with this gentle giant. The group will take turns, so that everyone has more than one chance to this unique experience. Once we return to Isla Mujeres, you will be able to take a dip at Playa Norte while the captain prepares for you fresh fish ceviche.     Snorkeling with Sailfish

    Sailfish are the fastest fish in the ocean with recorded speeds of up to 110 km/hour. They get their name from their spectacular dorsal fin that stretches almost the whole length of their body. Blue-grey in color with a white underbelly, they can grow up to 11ft in length and weigh up to 220 pounds. These powerful creatures are members of the billfish family and can be identified by their distinctive spears. The sail is normally kept folded down when swimming and raised only when the sailfish attack their prey.Sailfish usually attack one at a time and the small teeth on their bills inflict injuries on their prey fish, by way of scale and tissue removal. On average about two prey fish are injured during a sailfish attack but only 24% of attacks result in capture. As a result, injured fish increase in number over time in a fish school under attack. We offer an opportunity to learn about the fascinating feeding habits of these incredible hunters in the crystal clear waters of the Mexican Caribbean. You will be taught to keep an eye out for the birds that soar above the sailfish as they feed on groups of sardines. Then you can jump in, snorkel and enjoy the spectacle for yourself. Details:
