Enjoy the turquoise hues of the Caribbean, a wonderful oceanfront solar heated pool and a sandy beach right outside your door. The rooftop palapa offers views of the sunrise over the Caribbean and sunsets over Cancun Bay.
Casa Vidrio de Mar is located right on the ocean just outside of town. It’s a short 15-minute walk or brief taxi ride to spectacular North Beach and the downtown area (Centro) with its great places to eat, shop and people watch.
Hidalgo Street is the place for night life and a multitude restaurants. There is a new large Supermarket (Chedraui) a 10-minute walk from the house. The house is on the edge of the Colonia Metorologica, where you find lots of small shops and restaurants. The local bus stops right outside the house every 15 minutes or so. For 5 pesos (40 cents) you can get to North Beach, or have an entire tour of the island! We also have off street parking if you decide to rent a golf cart.
The beach in front of Casa Vidrio de Mar is a mixture of limestone, coral and white sand. It’s ideal for beach combing, sea glass hunting, exploring its tidal pools or just watching the Caribbean waves roll in.
During the months of July and August sea turtles lay their eggs on our beach and can be watched at night from the patio.
Between June and August you can have a once in a lifetime experience to swim with the 30 to 40 foot whale sharks during their migration. Isla Mujeres is a special place where the waters of the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico merge off the coast of this island and as many as 400 Whale Sharks visit during the peak of their feeding.
Our house manager can arrange for a personal chef, snorkeling, scuba diving, whale shark tours, trips to many area attractions and anything else you may need.

A sixty (60) day notice is required for cancellations. Cancellations that are more than sixty (60) days prior to arrival date will result in a refund of monies collected less 30% handling fee. Cancellations or changes that result in a shortened stay, that are made within sixty (60) days of the arrival date, forfeit the advance payment with no refunds of monies paid. Early departure does not warrant any refund of monies paid. Any reservation that is between December 20 and January 3 requires a ninety (90) day notice to cancel in order to obtain the refund of the advance payment less 30% handling fee. Cancellations that are made within ninety (90) days of the arrival date, forfeit the advance payment with no refunds of monies paid.
Reschedule Policy :- When cancelling with a sixty (60) day notice. The deposit provided will be kept in an escrow account that can be used towards a new reservation made within 6 months from cancelling and completing travel within a year. Reservations not rescheduled within 6 months will forfeit all funds.
